There’s a new Star Wars movie coming out, have you heard?

Yesterday (4/11/2015), leading cast members John Boyega (who had teased a surprise for fans all day!), Daisy Ridley and Carrie Fisher all released posters of their characters, Finn, Rey and the iconic Princess Leia, on Twitter. Almost immediately after, a poster of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo surfaced online, and one Adam Driver’s mysterious master of Sith, Kylo Ren.

The posters are relatively simple, showing only close ups of their characters with their weapons part covering their face.

The individual character posters, much like the movies two main posters, have one noticeable absence; Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, who has been missing from all previous promotional material, and has so far only been briefly heard as a voice over in the first trailer, despite a starring role. His absence has even lead to rumours, unconfirmed and mostly unfounded, that Luke Skywalker is Kylo Ren!

The posters are a small part of a long line pictures, trailers and exclusives that are getting us excited about the new Star Wars film, which is being called the most eagerly anticipated film of all time. Not that it needed anything else to generate excitement, since we’re already counting down the days (43 to go, just in case you where wondering).

Star Wars; The Force Awakens is set to be released here in the UK on the 17th of December, and in the USA a day later.
